Dr. Marcia Prenguber is a board-certified naturopathic oncologist. Her focus is to help patients utilize their own bodies’ natural capacity to heal. Dr. Prenguber educates her patients about what they can do to participate in their own healthcare, and teaches them the skills to do so. She works alongside other oncologists, nurses, registered dietitians, counselors and other support staff to develop integrated treatment programs for each patient.
Dr. Prenguber received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Ore. Under the guidance of Dr. Prenguber, Cancer Care Partners and Goshen Center for Cancer Care are two of the few facilities in the region to offer naturopathic medicine.
As the director of integrative care, Dr. Prenguber works closely with the medical, surgical and radiation oncologists in the development and implementation of cancer treatment plans that use an integrative approach. Along with the medical team, registered dietitians and counselors, she develops individualized treatments for patients, which may include nutritional therapy, botanical and homeopathic medicine, hydrotherapy, Bowen therapy, and behavioral and physical medicine.
