David J. Isaacson, MD
Otolaryngologist
Dr. David J. Isaacson is a board-certified otolaryngologist who diagnoses and treats ear, nose, throat, and head and neck disorders, specializing in minimally invasive thyroid and parathyroid surgery, head and neck cancers, and facial plastic/reconstructive surgery. Highly skilled in the latest surgical techniques, Dr. Isaacson performs roboticassisted, minimally invasive head and neck surgery with the da Vinci® Surgical System, which reduces the risk of damage to delicate parts of the body needed for speech, swallowing and taste. In addition to surgery, Dr. Isaacson offers accurate diagnosis and management options for voice disorders, sinus disease, snoring and sleep apnea, and hearing disorders. He also performs vagal nerve stimulator implantations. Through a unique, integrated approach, Dr. Isaacson works with an entire team of doctors, surgeons and oncologists at Cancer Care Partners to treat the whole person, not just the cancer.
Dr. Isaacson received his Bachelor of Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Va., graduating summa cum laude. He then completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Chicago, followed by an internship, residency and fellowship in head and neck surgery at Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. He has also served as a clinical assistant professor in otolaryngology for head and neck surgery. A valuable member of the community, Dr. Isaacson has served his patients at The South Bend Clinic for more than 10 years.
