Radiation Therapist

Under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist and Chief Therapist, complies with the technical aspects of the department, and functions as a Radiation Therapist. He/she is responsible for applying ionizing radiation to treat patients in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist in order to assist patients in the recovery process.

 

Must have satisfactorily completed a 24-month course in Radiological Technology and must be registered by the ARRT. Must have completed a 12-month course in Radiation Therapy Technology and be registered by ARRT in Radiation Therapy. Two years of experience required. CPR Certification required.
