PET/CT Tech
Performs a variety of duties in preparing patients for PET/CT scans of particular organs to furnish diagnostic information. Operates PET/CT equipment to produce scans and measures concentration of radioactive isotopes in specified body areas. Surveys packages (radioactive) for leaks and surveys “hot” laboratory and examination rooms for radioactive spills. Assures compliance with NRC regulations and other inspecting agencies. Assists in evaluation, coordination and implementing policies and procedures. Works in collaboration with referring and interpreting physicians in ordering and performing PET/CT Scans.
Position requires an Associate’s degree or greater in Radiological Sciences or certificate from an AMA approved school. Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technology in CT and NMTCB. Two years of experience required. CPR Certification required.
